Description

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work at a facility in New York, NY. These are registry positions with our company. $100 Sign-On Bonus

Pay Rate: $50 / hour

Certified Wound Care Nurse Specialist

 

Wound Care Nurse Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assess and evaluate patient wounds to determine the appropriate course of treatment
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care plans
  • Clean and dress wounds, ensuring sterile techniques are followed
  • Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients on wound care best practices and infection prevention
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care
  • Perform debridement and other wound care procedures as required
  • Conduct regular follow-up appointments to monitor healing and make necessary adjustments to care plans
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and safety standards

Wound Care Nurse Qualifications & Skills

  • Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) or equivalent certification
  • Experience in wound care nursing or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of wound care treatments and technologies
  • Ability to perform wound care procedures, including debridem
  • Knowledge of current wound care research and protocols
  • Leadership skills for training and mentoring staff
