Floating Requirements: May float to Children’s Hospital at Montefiore
treatments per day: Medication administration to patients on higher modalities of care ONLY; no nebulizer treatments for med/surg patients that are not on higher levels of respiratory therapy.
Certs (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP?): BLS
Types of patients: Adult and Pediatrics (PICU only, NO NICU)
What areas do they cover: Inpatient, ED, Critical Care
Experience or "Must have" skills: Pediatrics and Critical Care
Job Duties: Critical Care - airway/ventilator management; Emergency response; Nitric oxide administration; transports
Are RTs required to be able to intubate independently or only to assist?: Assist Only
Respiratory Mngr/Super./Lead Therapist?: 1 Director, 3 managers, 1 Administrative Supervisor, 3 Equipment Techs
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Black
RT Equipment: Servo-U, Servo-Air, V60, Airvo 2, Optiflow, INOMax, LTV, Trilogy
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: 24/7
Department Specific Orientation: 2 days (1 adult & 1 peds)
