Registered Nurse – Pediatric ICU (PICU)
Location: Bronx, NY, 10467
Department: Pediatric ICU – PEDS ICU
Start Date: 06/08/2026
Schedule: 3x11.5 Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours: 34.5 Hours/Week
Employment Type: Contract / Part-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for pediatric patients in a high-acuity hospital setting. The RN will perform patient assessments, IV insertions, phlebotomy, conscious sedation support, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric ICU patients
- Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
- Assist with conscious sedation procedures
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and response to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatments
Requirements:
- Certifications: BLS, PALS
Skills Required:
- Maternal and Child nursing
- IV insertion
- Phlebotomy
- Conscious sedation
- Pediatric critical care
