Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a leading acute care facility in Bronx, NY. The RN will provide specialized care to critically ill pediatric and post-surgical patients in a fast-paced PICU environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC charting system.
- Educate patients’ families regarding treatment plans and patient care.
- Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and nursing standards.

- Beds: 26
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
- Care Setting: Acute Care
- Charting System: EPIC
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Orientation: Unit-Specific Orientation Provided
- Additional Notes: Traveler Friendly Unit with frequent extension opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Active NYS RN License
- Minimum 2 Years of PICU Experience
- BLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- COVID Vaccine Required
