Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares and administers radio pharmaceuticals (radioactive drugs) to patients for diagnostic imaging or treatment.
- Operates specialized imaging equipment to capture images of organs and tissues.
- Monitors how organs and tissues are functioning through imaging results.
- Explains procedures and safety guidelines to patients before treatment or scans.
- Ensures radiation safety for patients, staff, and themselves.
- Maintains and checks imaging equipment for proper functionality.
- Documents procedures, patient data, and imaging results accurately.
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to help diagnose medical conditions.
- Provides important data for patient care, treatment planning, and medical research.
- Works in healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
Requirements
- 2 years NMT experience
- Cardio experience
Certification Requirements
- BLS (AHA)
- NMTCB
