Description
Position: SLP- Home Health(Speech-Language Pathologist)
Location: Sarasota, FL 34238
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Type: 13 weeks Contract
Note: Local pay range for local therapists is $55/hour – $57/hour.
Job Overview:
A The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating and treating patients in a home health setting who have speech, language, communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. The SLP develops individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills, cognitive function, and swallowing abilities while promoting patient independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Help patients improve communication and cognitive skills
- Treat swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)
- Educate patients and caregivers
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Coordinate care with nurses, PTs, OTs, and physicians.
Required Qualifications:
- CCC-SLP
- FL State license
- Must have a valid drivers license and car to make home visits.
- 2 years of experience in Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist
- BLS(AHA)
Note:Based on the needs of the HomeCare office, the visits and hours will be self-scheduled
