Housing Stipend - $900 weekly

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-PCU Float
Location - 410 W 10th Ave, Columbus, OH 43210

Full Time - 13 weeks contract
Night Shift - 7 pm to 7:30 am 
Weekly Hours - 36 hours 

EPIC experience required

FLOAT POOL— may be required to float to another OSU-affiliated hospital. No commute is required; the alternate hospital is approximately a 5–6 minute walk.

Could be required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Estimated patient ratios: 1:3-4

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct nursing care to patients in Progressive Care Units (PCU) and various hospital departments as assigned
Monitor and assess patients with complex medical, cardiac, and post-surgical conditions requiring intermediate-level care
Interpret telemetry/EKG rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and titratable drips as prescribed
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
Respond to rapid response and emergency situations in fast-paced clinical environments
Float efficiently between units while adapting to varying patient populations and workflows
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols
Support continuity of care through effective communication and teamwork across departments

REQUIREMENT:
At least 2 years of solid step-down/PCU experience - Required

Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
