Respiratory Therapist – Critical Care/ED

Shift: 12 Hour Shifts
Schedule Requirements: Every other weekend, holiday rotation, and 2 on-call shifts required

Job Details:

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a Level 1 Trauma & Teaching Hospital environment. Candidate will primarily support Adult Critical Care units and the Emergency Department in a high-acuity 400+ bed facility.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Recent experience in:
  • Trauma ICU
  • Neuro ICU
  • Medical ICU
  • Cardiac ICU
  • Surgical ICU
• Prior Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Strong critical care background with advanced ventilator management skills

Required Skills:

• Advanced vent management
• Esophageal balloon monitoring
• PV loop interpretation
• Driving pressure assessment
• Best PEEP maneuver management

Equipment Experience Preferred:

• Hamilton G5
• Hamilton C6
• Hamilton T1
• Hamilton MR1
• Phillips EV300
• INO Vent

Certifications/Licensure:

• Active Respiratory Therapist License
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• BLS Certification

EMR:

• EPIC

Candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care setting and available for on-call coverage as needed.
