Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional maternal and neonatal care, ensuring safety and comfort for patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding and confidence during their birthing experience.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 3+ years of nursing experience, with a strong background in obstetrics, newborn, and postpartum care.
• Current, valid nursing license (state-specific or compact)
• Proficiency in assessment, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to adapt quickly, work well under pressure, and prioritize effectively.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and additional certifications such as STABLE and OPS are preferred.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience floating to medical-surgical units.
• Knowledge of current trends and procedures in labor and delivery nursing.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including availability to work weekends and occasional overtime.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 3+ years of prior OB, postpartum, or nursery experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and on-call hours, with a schedule that varies to meet patient care needs.
• Participation in onboarding, orientation, and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work in a hospital setting with a patient-to-provider ratio of approximately 1-2 patients per shift.
