Description

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients.
  • Review and interpret physician orders for medications.
  • Provide medication therapy management and monitor patient outcomes.
  • Offer consultations and answer questions from patients regarding their medications.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Maintain patient records and document all pharmaceutical interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Provide medication information and education to healthcare staff.
  • Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and interns
25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Douglas, Wyoming. 5,500 annual ED visits and ~250 deliveries/year. Specialties include: OB/GYN, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, GI, Neurosurgery, ENT, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, Pain, Bariatrics, and General Surgery. ADC ~10. Trauma Level: III
