CVOR Surgical Tech (CST) – 13 weeks – Largo, FL
 

Responsibilities:

• Assisted surgeons during cardiovascular surgical procedures by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and maintaining the sterile field.
• Scrubbed for CVOR cases, ensuring proper setup and availability of surgical equipment throughout procedures.
• Handled surgical instruments, sutures, and specialty equipment during cardiac and vascular surgeries.
• Assisted with pre-op room preparation, patient positioning, and post-procedure room turnover.
• Maintained accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies according to surgical safety protocols.
• Collaborated with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia staff, and OR team to support safe patient care.
• Participated in variable on-call rotation, weekend coverage, and holiday schedules as required.

Required skills:

• Minimum 1 year of CST/OR experience
• Current CVOR scrub experience
• Strong sterile technique and instrumentation knowledge
• Ability to work cardiovascular surgical cases
• Flexible for variable call schedule
• Willing to work every other weekend and rotating holidays
