Pride Health is seeking a Cytotechnologist to join a team in Chicago, IL 60625. This position is 13 Weeks of contract with possible extension.

Job Description:

The Cytotechnologist will work independently in the laboratory, performing cytological evaluations and ensuring accurate diagnostic support for pathology services.

Responsibilities:

• Perform microscopic evaluation and screening of gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens
• Identify and document abnormal cellular changes and suspicious findings
• Prepare and process cytology specimens according to laboratory protocols
• Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of results
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support diagnostic processes
• Follow CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and facility safety guidelines
• Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas in compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Cytotechnology experience required
• Minimum 2 prior travel assignments required
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in hospital laboratory settings preferred

Certifications & Licensure:

• CT(ASCP) Certification required
