Experience

• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience required

Education

• Required: ASN – Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

Licensure & Certifications

• Required:
  • RN License – Single State or Compact
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
• Preferred:
  • TNCC

Duties / Job Summary

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Evaluate health status through ongoing data collection and assessment.
• Provide health teaching and counseling.
• Deliver therapy and treatment supportive to life and well-being, directly or indirectly (consultation, delegation, supervision, teaching).
• Execute delegated medical functions.
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
• Document per hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilize resources appropriately.
• Promote mission, vision, and values of SCL Health; adhere to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
