Description
Unit Overview
- MedSurg / Telemetry unit
- General adult patient population
Responsibilities
RN provides full-spectrum inpatient nursing care including:
- Comprehensive patient assessments
- Care planning and interventions
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Patient education
- Coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Ongoing reassessment using nursing process
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary team
- Delegation and supervision of support staff
- Participation in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
Experience
- No experience required
- Preferred: previous nursing experience
Education
- Required: ADN or ASN
- Preferred: BSN
Licensure & Certifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact eligible)
- BLS required
Skills & Expectations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to respond to changing patient conditions
- Patient safety awareness and clinical judgment
- Comfort with computer systems (or ability to learn)
- Respectful, patient-centered care approach
