Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (Telemetry) to join a high-acuity inpatient telemetry unit at Akron Campus. The RN will provide direct patient care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, adaptable, and committed to delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning
• Work every other weekend and assigned holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Ohio or Compact eligible)
• Minimum accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE approved program)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (preferred/required per facility)
• Minimum 1 year recent telemetry or acute care experience
• Experience with Epic EMR required (within last 12 months must be documented)
