Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity inpatient unit at Akron Campus. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to float as needed within the facility.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float to other units as required based on facility needs
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and clinical standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2+ years of recent RN experience in MS/Telemetry
• Experience using EPIC EMR within the last 12 months (mandatory)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE approved)

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS – Required
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification – Required
