Ultrasound Technologist – Contract Assignment

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a contract assignment. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate imaging results. The technologist will work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to support timely diagnosis and patient care.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
• Review and evaluate images for technical quality and completeness.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to support patient care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent ultrasound experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and patient care standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, or general ultrasound.
• Previous travel or contract assignment experience preferred.
