Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36

Shift: 12hr Variable Days/NOCs - shift rotation every week or every two weeks
Float Requirements: To all inpatient units as needed. On Call/Call Back: Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours
Weekends: Every other
Holidays: Every other

Required Certs: WI or compact RN, BLS, ACLS
(Aspirus requires AHA or ARC certifications)
Minimum 2 years experience in Stepdown/Intermediate Care/PCU required
NO NEW TRAVELERS - at least one completed contract required
Charting: EPIC experience strongly preferred
Unit Info: Med Surg Intermediate Care Unit. Tele. Stable, sepsis, trauma alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, Ortho Trauma, spinal cord injury, Stroke. Primary Patients/Insulin Drips
Patient Ratio: 4:1
12 bed ICU unit, 23 bed MS unit
Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates
Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely - fast paced unit
Scrub Color: any

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.

Contract is eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours

Travelers can be put on call for low census hours. The on-call hours that travelers are placed on will count toward the 36 low census unbillable hours. If the traveler is called back to the facility, they will be able to receive call back pay.

During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.
