Description
Requirements
- Must have ED/Trauma experience
- Required Certifications:
- TNCC (Current)
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- ENPC preferred
- Strong IV and critical care background required
Skills & Responsibilities
- Work as a Trauma Nurse Lead during primary & secondary trauma surveys
- Manage high-acuity trauma patients in ER setting
- Assist with:
- Mass transfusions using Level 1 rapid infuser
- Chest tube procedures
- Central/art line placement
- Spinal stabilization
- Splinting & traction
- Must work well in fast-paced/high-stress environment with rapid critical thinking skills
Unit Details
- 2 Trauma Bays in Emergency Department
- Equipment includes:
- Level 1 rapid infuser
- HOT LINE
- Hamilton ventilator
- GE ultrasound
- Alaris IV pumps
- Weekends required
- No floating or on-call
