Description
Job Title: EEG Technician / Neurodiagnostic Technologist
Location: Santa Barbara, California
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Call Requirement: Yes
Weekend Requirement: Every Third Weekend
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced EEG procedures including sleep EEGs and seizure studies
- Conduct electrode placement and monitor patient responses during procedures
- Perform sleep deprived EEG testing and long-term monitoring as needed
- Provide care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Troubleshoot EEG equipment and ensure quality testing standards
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage for evenings, nights, and weekends
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of EEG/Neurodiagnostic experience required
- Active R. EEG T. (ABRET) certification required at time of submission — hard stop requirement
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Additional certifications preferred:
- CLTM
- R. EP T.
- R. NCS T.
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings preferred
- ICU and NICU experience preferred
- Strong understanding of neurodiagnostic testing procedures and patient monitoring
