Job Description

Type of Patients on Unit: Medical and Surgical Neuro – Parkinson’s, Stroke, Lumbar, etc.  No trauma

Call Requirements: As required by facility

Float Requirements: As required by facility, will float to Med Surg and Progressive

Number of Beds: 17

Patient Ratios: 6:1, estimates, not guarantees

Equipment: Customary, including IV pumps

EMR: EPIC

Contract Duration – 13 (up to 26 weeks upon request)

Requested time off – up to 5 days in each 13 weeks can be automatically approved (anything more would be subject to approval by the leader prior to confirming the candidate and time would be asked to be made up at the end of the assignment)

Weekends – standard expectation of every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday will be required unless otherwise approved by the leader prior to confirmation)

Holidays – candidates should be expected to work at least one of the major summer (Memorial Day, July 4th or Labor Day) or winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s Day)

Requirements:

1YR+ Exp Working in Specialty 

1YR+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting 

ACTIVE BLS (AHA)

NIH (Can be completed with HWS or Facility)
