Job Title: Registered Nurse – Critical Care Unit (CCU)

Location: Bowling Green, KY 42104

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Unit (CCU) team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Key Details

• Documentation System: Meditech
• Floating Policy: Float in rotation with core staffing
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the CCU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor and interpret patient data to respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to other units as needed, following the hospital’s staffing rotation policy.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Kentucky (or compact license).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of recent CCU/ICU experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit assignments.
