Job Title: Registered Nurse
Unit: Home Health
Location: Tampa, FL 33614
Shift: Day (08:00 - 17:00)
Shift Length: 5x8-Hour
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Duration: 20 weeks
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Health with a minimum of 2 years of recent Home Health experience. The RN will provide skilled nursing care, perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate treatment in a home-based setting. Candidates should have strong clinical, documentation, and patient education skills with the ability to work independently. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. An active Florida State RN license and current BLS certification are required.
NOTE: Your address must be located more than 100 miles from the facility, as the client is currently considering traveler candidates for this role.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in a home health setting
- Provide skilled nursing care including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and patient monitoring
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and home care instructions
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with home health regulations, safety standards, and agency protocols
Skills:
- Strong patient assessment and clinical nursing skills in a Home Health setting
- Experience with wound care, medication administration, IV therapy, and chronic disease management
- Effective patient and family education with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of home health documentation, care planning, and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently while coordinating care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Documents Required:
- Valid FL State RN license
- BLS Certified through AHA
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Health with a minimum of 2 years of recent Home Health experience.
