Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days – 4x10 Hour Shifts (9:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary:
 We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide post-anesthesia recovery care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery and be comfortable caring for patients recovering from a wide variety of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess post-operative patients in PACU
• Provide Phase I and Phase II recovery care
• Manage airway support and pain control
• Administer medications, IV vasopressors, and emergency medications
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
• Perform patient assessments, discharge teaching, and documentation
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate Epic charting and follow PACU protocols

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience required
First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years PACU experience
Active RN license required
ACLS required
BLS required
NIHSS required
PALS required
Epic experience required
Travel experience preferred

17-bed PACU unit
Average daily census: 40 patients
Patient ratio: 1:2
Monday-Friday schedule
No call required
No block scheduling
