Description
Sterile Processing Technician – Travel Assignment
Location:
Providence St. Peter Hospital
Olympia, WA
Shift:
- 5x8 Evenings
- 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Start Date:
ASAP
Facility Information:
- Short Term Acute Care Hospital
- 325 Staffed Beds
- Department: Sterile Processing Main
- Charting System: EPIC
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year SPD experience (2 years preferred)
- Acute Hospital OR experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- No travel experience required
Required Certifications:
- CRCST (HSPA/IAHCSMM) OR
- CBSPD
Required Skills:
- High-Level Disinfection (HLD)
- Cleaning crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps
- Washer/Sterilizer operation
- Case cart management
- Sterilization wrapping procedures
- Proper wrapping material selection
- Instrument tray/set assembly
- Equipment documentation
- Steam sterilization testing & monitoring
- Immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
- Biological & chemical indicators
Specialty Experience Preferred:
- ENT

Additional Information:
- No on-call required

- Travelers living within 50 miles are NOT eligible
- Pending licenses not accepted
- All RTO must be included at submission
Orientation & Compliance:
- 40-hour non-billable orientation
- Average 16 hours of pre-start modules required
- Tier 3 travel compliance
- 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
