Travel Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer 

• Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer experience
• Previous travel experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong outpatient cardiology imaging experience
• Proficiency in:
  • 2-D Echo
  • 3-D Echo
  • RVIT imaging
  • RVOT imaging
  • Treadmill Stress Echo

• Experience working with adult outpatient populations

   

  Position Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Travel Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week assignment with Novant Health Heart & Vascular in Okatie, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient echocardiography experience and be proficient in advanced adult cardiac imaging procedures including 2-D and 3-D echocardiography, RVIT/RVOT imaging, and treadmill stress echo testing.

• This role requires excellent technical skills, patient care experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient cardiology environment while maintaining high-quality diagnostic imaging standards.

   

  Assignment Details

• Position: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
• Location: Okatie, South Carolina
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks

• Shift: Days – 5x8s
  • 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM
• Schedule: 40 hours per week available
• Call Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: Yes
  • Required to float between Okatie clinic and Hilton Head clinic locations as needed
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics

• Average Daily Volume: Approximately 10 patients per day

   

  Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies in an outpatient cardiology setting
• Conduct 2-D and 3-D echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and advanced cardiac imaging studies
• Evaluate cardiac anatomy, function, and blood flow using ultrasound technology
• Perform RVIT and RVOT imaging procedures accurately
• Assist with treadmill stress echo testing and bubble studies
• Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment and treadmill systems
• Ensure accurate documentation and image acquisition for physician interpretation
• Provide compassionate patient care and education throughout imaging procedures
• Follow infection control and patient safety standards at all times

• Collaborate with cardiologists, providers, and clinical staff to support efficient patient care

   

  Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification preferred

• Experience performing routine echocardiograms

   

  Special Procedures & Clinical Experience

• Candidates should have experience with:
• Standard echocardiograms
• Stress echocardiograms
• Bubble studies
• Carotid studies
• Aortic imaging

• Abdominal vascular studies

Additional Information

• No RTO requests permitted after booking
• Travelers must remain fully available during orientation week due to potential schedule changes
• Final confirmed start date is provided the Tuesday before start week
• Floating between clinic locations may occur for 1–2 weeks during assignment
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
