OR RN – Job Description
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Department: Operating Room (OR)
Shift: 3x12 Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required (5 years preferred)
- Previous travel experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- BLS required
- Epic charting experience required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity Operating Room setting
- Circulate a wide variety of surgical procedures including trauma, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, general surgery, ENT, urology, bariatric, and robotic-assisted cases
- Assist with Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical procedures preferred
- Maintain sterile field, surgical safety standards, and infection control practices
- Handle surgical instrumentation, equipment setup, specimen labeling, and blood product administration
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams during surgical procedures
- Respond effectively to emergency situations including trauma and code response
- Document patient care accurately in the Epic EMR system
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to perioperative protocols throughout all phases of care
