Unit: Inpatient Dialysis 
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Shift: 7 am - 3 pm 
Shift Length: 10 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis with a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience to join our team. The RN will provide specialized dialysis care, monitor patient conditions during treatment, and ensure safe and effective patient outcomes. Candidates must have hands-on experience with hemodialysis and familiarity with Epic EMR systems. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, care coordination, and maintaining accurate documentation. Applicants must hold an active State RN license and current BLS certification through AHA.
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments to monitor patient condition and response.
• Administer dialysis treatments, medications, and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor dialysis equipment and ensure safe, effective operation during treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR and communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on dialysis care, treatment plans, and health management strategies.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in hemodialysis treatment and patient care
• Proficiency in patient assessment, monitoring, and acute care clinical practices
• Experience using Epic EMR for accurate documentation and care coordination
• Effective communication and patient/family education skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong critical thinking and attention to detail

• BLS Certified through AHA
