Description
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Job Description
Location: Great Falls, MT
Department: Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy
Shift: Variable 12-hour shifts (6:00 – 6:00)
Hours: 36 hrs/week guaranteed
Duration: 13 weeks
Call Requirement: None
Requirements:
- Active MT state Respiratory Therapist license required
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
- Critical care and ventilator management experience required
- RRT certification required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care services for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Perform diagnostic testing, therapeutic treatments, and patient assessments
- Manage ventilators and provide critical care respiratory support
- Monitor patient respiratory status and respond to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and care plans
- Maintain knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment, procedures, and safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document all respiratory care accurately in the EMR system
