Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Nights (7P–7A)

Position Summary

The Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to pregnant patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period. The RN collaborates with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe maternal and fetal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and care for laboring patients throughout all stages of labor and delivery.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including interpretation of fetal heart rate tracings.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered.
Assist physicians during vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetrical emergencies.
Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
Recognize and respond to maternal and fetal complications.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Support newborn stabilization and transition immediately following delivery.
