Position: OR Tech / Surgical Tech
Location: Eureka, CA 95501
Start date: 06/15/2026
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Travel Pay Rate:
$1800 weekly ($17/hr w2 + $1120/week stipend)
Job Summary:
Experienced OR Tech / Surgical Tech needed for a 13-week travel assignment in Eureka. Day shift schedule with variable start times. Candidate must have at least 2 years of recent OR Tech experience, active CA license, and experience in a variety of surgical specialties including General, Ortho, Neuro Spine, Vascular, OB/GYN, Urology, ENT, and Plastics. First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience.
Duties:
- Prepare and maintain sterile field during surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures across multiple specialties
- Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform aseptic and sterile techniques in the operating room
- Support procedures including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neuro Spine,
- Vascular, OB/GYN, Urology, ENT, Plastics, and Trauma cases Operate and assist with equipment including Da Vinci robot, Stryker, and Medtronic systems
- Prepare case carts and surgical instruments for procedures
- Float to SPD and Endoscopy departments as needed
- Participate in rotating call schedule including weekends and nights
- Ensure compliance with universal protocol, sharps safety, and radiation safety standards
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of OR Tech / Surgical Tech experience
- BLS certification required
- CST or NCCT certification required
- Experience with General OR procedures required
- Trauma Level II and community hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Must be willing to float within facility/affiliate facilities
- First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience
