Description
Operating Room RN – Level I Trauma | Transplant | Neuro | Robotics
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a high-acuity inpatient surgical environment specializing in Level I Trauma Surgery. This position requires strong experience in kidney transplant, neuro, spine, orthopedic trauma, and robotic procedures in a fast-paced OR setting.
Position Details
- Department: West Main OR
- Setting: Inpatient Level I Trauma Center
- Shift: Night Shift
- Orientation Schedule:
- First week: 5 days | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Holiday weeks: 4x10s | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Call: No call required while working nights
Holidays: Traveler may be scheduled for holidays during contract
Required Experience
Candidates must have recent hands-on experience with:
- Kidney Transplant Surgery
- Neuro Surgery
- Spine Surgery
- Orthopedic Trauma
- Robotic Surgery
- Trauma cases in a Level I Trauma environment
Required Skills
Experience with Scrub and/or Circulate responsibilities in:
- General Surgery
- Robotics
- Organ Transplant Procedures
- Orthopedics
- Neuro & Spine
- ENT (primarily Head & Neck)
- GYN
- Urology
- Trauma Surgery
- Organ Procurement
Unit Overview
The West OR consists of 10 operating rooms dedicated to complex inpatient surgical cases. This highly specialized surgical team manages a broad range of procedures including:
- Bariatric Surgery
- Neurosurgery
- ENT & Head/Neck Procedures
- Orthopedic Trauma
- Spine Surgery
- Major Plastic Reconstruction
- Robotic-Assisted Procedures
- Kidney & Liver Transplants
