Description
Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
Location
- Grand Blanc, Michigan
Job Summary
- Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
- May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
- Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Administer intravenous contrast media, monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate care if needed.
- Operate and manually control CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
- Prepare patients and procedure rooms, including sterile setups and supply management.
- Ensure radiation protection principles are followed (shielding, dose reduction, ALARA techniques).
- Manage imaging workflow including PACS image quality and Radiology Information System (RIS) study indexing.
- Document all procedures and clinical information accurately in medical records and radiology systems.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Every other weekend required
Contract Length
- 19 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist within the last year.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required or must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible.
- BLS (CPR) certification.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- May work in hospital fixed unit or ambulatory mobile unit.
- Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment; must follow safety precautions.
- Possible exposure to contagious patients.
- Occasionally lift/move equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
