Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry (Travel)

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
Weekend Requirement: Must occasionally work weekends
Call Requirement: Only when down staffed or placed on call

Unit & Patient Information

• Unit Type: Acute Care, Med/Surg Telemetry
• Number of Beds: 34
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adults, occasional pediatrics (peds not assigned to traveler)
• Patient Types: Telemetry, surgical, general medical
• Equipment Used: Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Job Expectations & Environment

• Flexible and willing to assist where needed
• Possible float to care for inpatient holds
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes only
• Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation provided

Additional Notes

• Travel candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
• The unit occasionally requires weekend work and on-call coverage during staffing shortages
