Position: Registered Nurse – LDRP (Level 1 Nursery Unit)

Location: Salida, CO 81201

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (36 hours per week)

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience required.
• Education: Associate’s Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program (minimum).
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado.
• Certifications:
  • Required: BLS & NRP
  • Preferred: ACLS & NRP

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provide direct patient care and monitor patient response during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
2. Assist and educate mothers in breastfeeding as needed.
3. Promote maternal wellness during pregnancy and postpartum through continuous education.
4. Educate mothers on infant care practices.
5. Document patient care events and education in the medical record using electronic systems.
6. Communicate patient condition verbally and in writing to physicians and nursing supervisors.
7. Collaborate with nursery nurses in the care of mother/baby couplets.
8. Assist physicians with procedures.
9. Support nurse manager as requested.
10. Respond to emergencies in other nursing units when possible.
11. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment in the Family Birth Center (FBC) unit.
12. Participate in skill development and training on new procedures/equipment.
