Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Procedures (Preop/Postop)

📍 Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601

📅 Assignment Dates: June 16, 2026 – 13 weeks

🕒 Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care in preop and postop settings.
• Support surgical and procedural patients, including IV infusion (excluding chemotherapy).
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in evening and weekend call rotations.
• Adapt to EMR transition from Meditech to Epic during the assignment.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
• Licensure: Colorado RN license in good standing.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years RN experience in Day Surgery/Procedures/IV Infusion (non-chemo).
  • PACU/CCU experience required.
• Certifications:
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association (card in-hand before start date).
• Technical Skills: Epic EMR experience (required for upcoming system transition).
• Other Requirements:
  • Must be available for evening/weekend call rotations.
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions).
