Requirements

RN License Of OH Required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
At least 1 year of current specialty experience within the last 3 years
Previous travel nursing experience required
First-time travelers will be screened

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS

Preferred Certifications

NIHSS
ONS Chemo Certification

Unit

Acute Leukemia & Hematology

No chemo certification required
Oncology experience preferred but not required
Training provided for oncology patients

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
Monitor and manage acute leukemia and hematology patients
Perform telemetry and dysrhythmia monitoring
Administer blood products and IV therapy
Maintain central lines and PICC lines
Support infection prevention and fall prevention protocols
Respond to rapid response situations as needed
Float to other MedSurg Oncology units when required
