Title: RN - ICU
Location: Charlotte North NC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift 12hr Night Shift - 36 Shift Information 1900 - 0700
Clinical Interviewing- Yes/No Yes - Manager to conduct final interview.
Weekend Rotation EOW (F/S/S)
Holiday Requirements Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements Adult Critical care units, as needed (MICU, STICU, Dixon Heart, CTICU)

Unit Details
- Neuro ICU
- 29 Beds
- Average Daily Census: 29 Patients
- Adult ICU experience required: Minimum 2 years
- First-time travelers not accepted (must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment)
Patient Population
Neuro ICU patients including:
- Ischemic & hemorrhagic stroke
- Subarachnoid hemorrhage
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Seizures/status epilepticus
- Spinal cord injuries
- Post-op craniotomies
- TNK administration & monitoring
- IR recovery patients
- EVD drains & ICP monitoring
May occasionally care for Trauma ICU or Medical ICU overflow patients.
Ratios
- RN Ratio: 1:2
- Occasionally 1:3 for downgraded patients
- CNA support not consistently available
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Required Skills
- Epic EMR experience
- Ventilator management
- EVD & ICP monitoring
- Vasoactive drip management
- Tracheostomy care
- Central line maintenance
- TNK & IR post-procedure monitoring
- CRRT experience preferred

- 24/7 Respiratory Therapy

- NP/PA Neurocritical Care Team

- PT/OT/ST available 7 days/week
Floating Requirements
- Adult Critical Care Units as needed:
- MICU
- STICU
- CTICU
- Dixon Heart
- PCU floating with max 1:3 ratio
Schedule
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun)
- No On-Call Requirement
- Travelers work 75% of holidays
- Schedule posted every 6 weeks
Orientation
- New Employee Orientation (NEO)
- 2 days unit orientation based on experience & comfort level
