Description
Cyto Tech Requirements – Springfield, IL
• Minimum 3 years of Cytotechnology experience required (less experience may be considered)
• Previous travel experience required
• ASCP-CT certification required and must be active
• Cerner charting experience required
• Outpatient Lab experience required
• Must be able to arrive in Illinois 3 business days prior to start date for fingerprinting/compliance
Required Non-Gynecological Experience:
• Ascitic Fluid
• Esophageal
• Gastric
• Spinal
• Thin-Prep
Required Respiratory Tract Experience:
• Bronchial specimens
Required Body Fluid Experience:
• Urine
Required Fine Needle Aspiration Experience:
• Assisting procedures
• Making smears
• Preliminary diagnosis
• Staining
Required Professional Skills:
• Assist with on-site procedures
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance
• Specimen labeling and identification
• Ability to perform QC
• Cyto lab prep experience
Required Special Stains/Organisms:
• PAP stains
Additional Details:
• First-time travelers accepted
• No weekends required
• No call required
• Locals accepted
• IL license required at submission if applicable
• Floating required as needed
• COVID vaccine not required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
