Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Long Term Care (LTC)

Location: Childress, TX
Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Weekend Requirement: None
On-Call Requirement: None

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Provide therapy to improve communication, cognitive function, speech production, language skills, and swallowing abilities.
• Assess and manage dysphagia while implementing strategies to reduce aspiration risk.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, communication strategies, and swallowing precautions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Speech-Language Pathologist experience required.
• Active Texas SLP License required.
• Experience in Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
