Join one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals as a Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) supporting a high-acuity NICU & Pediatric Critical Care environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma, teaching hospital with cutting-edge technology and a highly collaborative care team.

 

📅 Assignment Details

  • Duration: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Nights | 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-Call: Not required
  • Floating: Based on experience within scope (no sister facilities)
  • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks

Work in a specialized unit handling complex neonatal and pediatric respiratory cases in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

 

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care in NICU & Pediatric Critical Care settings
  • Manage airway devices, ventilators, and oxygen therapy
  • Perform extubation and suctioning procedures
  • Assist with bronchoscopy (preferred)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment

 

✅ Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years (Pediatrics/NICU required)
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted
  • Certifications Required:
    • RRT/CRT (NBRC)
    • BLS
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • NRP
    • PALS
  • License: South Carolina RCP License (must be active at start)
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Epic charting
    • Teaching or Level I Trauma facility

 

📌 Additional Notes

  • Block Scheduling: May be approved (not guaranteed)
  • RTO: Must be submitted upfront (limited approval)
  • Local Candidates: Accepted (within 60 miles at adjusted rate)
  • Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • COVID Vaccine: Not required

 

🌪️ Important Seasonal Info

During hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Flexibility is essential.
