Baxter Health is seeking an experienced and adaptable Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for an Acute Care Float Pool assignment in beautiful Mountain Home, Arkansas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled RN who thrives in dynamic clinical environments and enjoys working across multiple patient care settings.

Assignment Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Acute Care Float
• Unit: Float Pool (6270)
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential for extension)
• Shift Options: Days or Nights – 3x12s (7:00 – 7:00)
• Location: Baxter Health – Mountain Home, AR

Unit Overview

This float pool position supports a variety of acute care units throughout the facility, including:

• Med Surg
• Telemetry
• Surgical/Ortho
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• ER Hold & Overflow
• Adult & Geriatric Psych
• Inpatient Rehab

Critical care experience is strongly preferred due to the diverse patient populations and acuity levels supported.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide leadership and support within the nursing unit
• Adapt quickly to varying unit workflows and patient populations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Arkansas RN license or Compact RN License required
• BSN preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Float pool and/or critical care experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Certifications Required

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Current State RN License

Additional Information

• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• Holiday coverage may be required based on facility needs
