Required Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 2 years of RN experience required
• CERNER charting system experience is required.
• Travel Experience: Preferred
• Education:
  • ADN required
  • BSN preferred
• Licensure: Current Arkansas RN License or Compact State RN License in good standing
• Other Requirements:
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Basic computer knowledge required

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• COVID-19 Vaccine Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
• Flu Vaccine Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed

Unit & Clinical Experience

The 17-bed ICU/CSICU specializes in the care of patients requiring advanced critical care and cardiovascular services, including:

Cardiovascular & Surgical Patient Population

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Thoracotomy Procedures
• Carotid Stenting
• Heart Valve Replacement and Repair
• Vascular Interventions
• General Surgery Patients

Advanced Therapies & Equipment

• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Induced Hypothermia Therapy
• Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
• Impella Heart Pump

Patient Population

• Neonates
• Pediatrics
• Adults
• Geriatrics

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients within the ICU/CSICU.
• Utilize the nursing process to:
  • Assess
  • Diagnose
  • Plan
  • Implement
  • Evaluate patient care plans
• Deliver care through the facility’s Shared Governance model.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Promote evidence-based practice and a patient-centered healing environment.
• Provide leadership and support within the nursing team.

Licensure & Compliance Requirements

• Current Arkansas RN License or Compact State RN License in good standing.
• Position is designated as Safety Sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
