Description
Job Title: Histology Technician (HT/HLT) – Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: 7a-3:30p
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process pathology specimens from surgical procedures.
- Accession specimens into the Cerner laboratory information system.
- Collect tissue blocks from Pathologists and Pathology Assistants.
- Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation.
- Execute routine and special staining procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Histology experience
- Current ASCP Certification as:
- Histotechnician (HT), or
- Histotechnologist (HTL)
- Experience with tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniques.
