Surgical Technologist | Akron, OH | 4x10 Day Shifts | Operating Room
Position Details
• Position: Surgical Technologist
• Location: Akron, OH
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: 4x10s, Monday–Friday
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
• On-Call Requirement: Yes
Responsibilities
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Function as the scrub person throughout surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and support safe surgical practices
• Anticipate surgeon needs and assist the perioperative team
• Ensure efficient turnover and preparation of surgical suites
Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• BLS Certification
• Knowledge of surgical principles and techniques
• Recent Operating Room experience
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA
• Experience in multiple surgical specialties
Required Specialty Experience
Candidates must have experience in:
• Orthopedic Trauma
• Neurosurgery
• Spine Surgery
• Gynecology
• Urology
