GLC Government Services is seeking a Dental Hygienist to work on a government contract at the Federal Correctional Complex in Pollock, LA, providing care for adult inmates in custody.

Facility: Health Services Department, Federal Correctional Complex, Pollock, LA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch, excluding federal holidays)

Pay Rate: $43.10 per hour

Qualifications

• Licensed/certified as a Registered Dental Hygienist in any U.S. state or territory
• Three professional letters of reference required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• Ability to work with adult inmates from diverse cultural, regional, racial, and ethnic backgrounds

Scope of Work (includes but is not limited to)

• Provide scaling and root planing (SRP), periodontal maintenance, and/or prophylaxis for referred patients
• Perform comprehensive periodontal charting, probing, and documentation
• Deliver individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient
• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition for patients seen for dental prophylaxis
• Complete dental X‑rays as directed by the dentist
• Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other procedures
• Handle paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis
• Administer local anesthesia as needed
