Description

Quick Overview

Facility: Gulf Coast Medical Center
Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Traveler
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts/week (36 hrs guaranteed)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (very long-term assignment)
Location Requirement: Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (travel eligibility rule)

Required Qualifications

Certifications & Licensure

✅ RRT credential
✅ Florida Respiratory Therapist License
✅ BLS
✅ ACLS

Experience

✅ Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience
✅ Prior travel assignment experience required

Clinical Skills

Candidate must be comfortable with:

Invasive ventilator management
Non-invasive ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP)
Bronchoscopy assistance
Critical care respiratory therapy
Epic EMR documentation

Preferred:

Experience with Hamilton ventilators
Experience with Servo ventilators
Trauma center experience

Facility Expectations

Floating

Travelers are first to float
May float to sister campuses
Candidate must be flexible and agreeable to floating

Strong Match 2+ years ICU/Critical Care RT experience Previous travel RT contracts completed successfully Comfortable managing vents independently Experienced with bronchoscopy procedures Familiar with Epic Flexible with floating Comfortable working nights Trauma center background
