Quick Overview
Facility: Gulf Coast Medical Center
Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Traveler
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts/week (36 hrs guaranteed)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (very long-term assignment)
Location Requirement: Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (travel eligibility rule)
Required Qualifications
Certifications & Licensure
✅ RRT credential
✅ Florida Respiratory Therapist License
✅ BLS
✅ ACLS
Experience
✅ Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience
✅ Prior travel assignment experience required
Clinical Skills
Candidate must be comfortable with:
- Invasive ventilator management
- Non-invasive ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP)
- Bronchoscopy assistance
- Critical care respiratory therapy
- Epic EMR documentation
Preferred:
- Experience with Hamilton ventilators
- Experience with Servo ventilators
- Trauma center experience
Facility Expectations
Floating
- Travelers are first to float
- May float to sister campuses
- Candidate must be flexible and agreeable to floating
