Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Perioperative RN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care in a fast-paced surgical setting. The ideal candidate will be confident in handling a variety of surgical specialties and comfortable with occasional on-call responsibilities.

Schedule:

• Day shifts typically 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• One weekday call (5:00 PM – 6:00 AM) per week
• Approximately one weekend of 24-hour call per month

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care across all perioperative phases (pre-op, intra-op, post-op)
• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures
• Respond to on-call surgical emergencies when scheduled

Required Experience:

• Experience in robotic-assisted surgeries (Da Vinci and Mako systems preferred)
• Comfortable with diverse surgical cases including:
  • Orthopedics (including total joints; no spine)
  • Ophthalmology
  • Gynecology
  • Urology
  • General surgery (appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, bowel procedures, hernia repairs)
  • C-sections
  • ENT (tonsillectomies)
  • Colonoscopy and EGD procedures

Required Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Additional Details:

• Long-term contract assignment
• Strong teamwork and adaptability required in a high-acuity surgical environment
