Pharmacist Travel Job Opportunity

Location: Bullhead City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, hospital employees, and designated hospital areas.
• Practice in compliance with state/federal laws, DEA regulations, TJC standards, and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing.
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians about medications.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives.
• Manage patient medication profiles and report adverse drug reactions.
• Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements.
• Maintain narcotic accountability.

Work Schedule

• 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (Wednesday to Tuesday).
• Weekday hours: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Weekend hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• On-call every other weekend covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Pharmacy remains open on recognized holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• IV certification

Facility Information

• Hospital size: 139 beds.
• Usual patient census: 50 to 70.
