Description
Long Term Care Pharmacist
Schedule
- Shift: 08:30 AM – 06:00 PM
- Work Week: Monday – Friday
- No weekends required
- No holiday coverage required
Preferred Experience
- Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy experience preferred
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license issued by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy
- Valid driver's license
- Iowa Child & Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter certification/compliance
Job Responsibilities
- Dispense medications prescribed by physicians and other healthcare practitioners
- Counsel patients regarding medications and proper usage
- Advise providers on medication selection, dosage, drug interactions, and potential side effects
- Deliver safe, accurate, and effective pharmaceutical care
- Collaborate with pharmacy support staff to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations and standards
